As I thought about this post, it occurred to me again about how nuanced interior design is. Notice each of these drapes has the same type of pattern. And yet, they all look very different. Pattern and scale in design is important to think about.
The middle drape is sheer. The other two are opaque. Also known as ‘privacy’ drapes.
In my opinion, these three drape fabrics are very usable. It’s possible any of them would look lovely in one room. But, the end result would be quite different with each choice.
I always think usability first. The home and family, would lead me towards or away from the sheer fabric. Whether the family had pets or children would lead me to or away from the silk.
The small scale dark drape is the most usable in the most situations, provided the color works.
